Iraq flak
Ok, I promised myself that I wouldn't, but I'm going to comment on the whole Iraq thing. I have to tell you, I am really waffling over how I feel about this. On the one hand, I thought the US taking the initiative to attack was out of line. On the other hand, I'm glad that Saddam's regime has finally been broken. It's really a tough thing to take a firm position and stand on it.
I am proud of our troops, though. Are these guys and gals pros, or what? I mean, with the atrocities committed against US military personnel, they could have easily taken off the kit gloves and launched a "scorched earth" policy. But they didn't. They went on with the plan as originally stipulated. Kudos.
Another thing is the United Nations. Is that a misnomer, or what. It should been called the Committee of Nations. All they do is argue and act stubborn toward each other. Not to mention the US is behind in its dues. Reminds me of the science fiction club in college.
Well, I've said my piece. Kind of weak, I know, but believe me, it's easier to deal with criminals one on one than work out international politics. I leave that kind of stuff to my brother Trevor.
